Not a mural but also a collaborative work created by De’VIA artists while at the Olathe, Kansas retreat. The De’VIA totem is at the Deaf Cultural Center in Olalthe.
The base has holes for the lamp light inside to illuminate through.

D^AU banner meaning
In honor of the original artwork of the world – hand prints in caves and various rock formations during prehistoric times and the 2nd Wave of De’VIA banner that was created in 2013
– the D^AU banner was created with multicolored hand prints and then black paint was painted around variojs motifs that were added to the banner to signify what D^AU is all about
Hello All,
I hope your day is going well. I am a grad student in the School Psychology Program and I am taking a class that will require me to do a presentation on Deaf culture. I thought there is no better way to present Deaf culture but through art in all its variations. We are at Gallaudet and it has U.S. Deaf art all around campus. I would like to ask if you can point me in the direction of some international Deaf art? Examples of things I have already thought of are Signmark (a Finnish rap artist), JJ Jones (a American/French Mime), and Miss Deaf international. I’m not sure about the last one.
